9 ) Can I Wear More Than One Bio Energy Patch and How Can I Track Them to Keep My Sanity?
Here is a low-tech, not-so-elegant, yet effective tracking system for the wearable Bio Energy patches. (Yes… some of them look VERY similar — and it can get confusing.)
Apply the patch to the top part of your left arm close to your shoulder. Try to choose a “flat” area that isn’t too “active” with muscle motion.
Look on the top area of your left arm and mentally divide the “geography” into a “matrix”, naming the positions. (E.g., top row innermost position = “1” / top row outermost position – “2”, next row innermost position = “3”, etc).
Put a small yellow sticky note on the back of each patch envelope.
On the sticky note, as you apply a patch to your arm, enter a notation on a single line with the day (e.g., M= Monday, T=Tues, etc), the date (e.g., 4-15) and arm position (in a small circle). A typical notation might look like this: “M 4-15 2” (where the “2” is in a small circle)
When you remove that patch, line-through the corresponding entry on the sticky note and add a new line with the “next entry” for the new replacement patch.
You now have a bit of a running tracking system… which can help maintain your sanity.
Most people tend to get approximately 3 days with each patch. That said, remember we are each a bit unique! The best way to tell how much time YOU get, is to monitor your symptoms… you can either change the patch every 3 days — or as soon as you start feeling symptoms creep back. (For example, with stress-related patches, most people tend to get a bit “edgy” at about day 3 or 4 and so they “know” that the patch probably needs replacing!) Just respect that each person gets a different amount of time/relief from the patches. We are each just a bit different!
Many people like to concurrently use combinations of patches. It’s a good idea to stagger “day 1” of the patches. This ensures that one patch is at “full strength” while the others are “draining”. Perhaps a plan something like this: Day #1: apply Patch “A”. Note the day, date, and position on the corresponding sticky. Day #2: apply Patch “B”. Note tracking info on its corresponding sticky. You will also be replacing each patch in a staggered fashion.
Here’s an example using this thought process: If I am “stressed to the max”… On day #1, I apply a Stress Freeze patch. On day #2, I apply an Emotional Rescue patch… (or vice versa — the idea is to stagger “day 1” so that one patch is always at full capacity.) Then at day 3 (or whenever I start to feel “edgy”, I replace the first patch; the next day, I replace the second patch.
Remember: Stay WELL HYDRATED to optimize results — the frequencies travel through the fluid in our cells!
Be patient and remember that it might take some “time” for your body to straighten things out — after all, it took quite some time to get to where it is now!

10. What’s the Difference Between Hair Mineral Levels and Blood Mineral Levels?
Minerals circulating in the blood are under a very different homeostatic control than minerals in the tissues. They must be maintained within narrow limits in the blood. This is accomplished even if the dietary intake of a nutrient is very low.
Maintaining minerals within a range in the blood is attained several ways.
If a mineral intake is very high, the body will compensate by removing or eliminating it as quickly as possible.

If your hair is permed, dyed, or bleached, you may want to wait as long as possible before your hair service, and provide a sample of virgin hair (as stated above by cutting and removing the treated hair.)

12. What About Contamination – Hair Dyes & Soaps – Will These Affect Results?
Certain cosmetic hair treatments can contaminate scalp hair – things like dyes that contain lead acetate, bleaching processes that artificially affect calcium, and medicated shampoos that contain zinc or selenium. However, only the individual element is affected. All of the other minerals tested are valid.
If your hair is permed, dyed, or bleached, you may want to wait as long as possible before your hair service, and provide a sample of virgin hair. Also remember that you provide only about 1 ½ inches of the hair closest to your scalp so you will probably be cutting and removing most of the treated hair.

13. How Can Vitamins Be Evaluated Through Hair Analysis?
Minerals interact not only with each other but also with vitamins, proteins, carbohydrates, and fats.
Minerals influence each of these factors, and these other factors, in turn, influence mineral status.
Minerals act as enzyme activators, and vitamins are synergistic to minerals as coenzymes. Therefore, it is extremely rare that a mineral disturbance could develop without a corresponding disturbance in the synergistic vitamin(s).

20. If I am Underweight, Why Am I Classified As a Slow Metabolizer?
Weight is not a good indication of metabolic type. A Slow Metabolizer is often overweight.
Underweight can occur in a Slow Metabolizer due to poor digestion or poor absorption or even some type of intestinal problem. (Bring your TEI Hair Analysis results and talk with your Health Care Practitioner about this.)
So while metabolic rate does influence weight gain or loss, it is not the only factor involved.
21. Why Is A Mineral Recommended When It Shows “High” On My Test Results?
This depends on the interrelationships of nutrients. For example, magnesium may be high. But if it is low in relationship to calcium, a “relative” deficiency exists. Magnesium supplementation may then be recommended to improve the calcium-magnesium relationship. First Decision — What kind of controller?
All Lumen controllers are Dual Port Controllers. That means you choose whether to attach one LED pad or two LED pads simultaneously.
Second Decision – How many LED Pads?
Some folks know right off that their first application is “dual”…like “two bad knees”, both ankles… neuropathy in both feet… something front and back, etc… you can certainly take the time with a single LED pad and move the pad around a lot, but some folks prefer to just do two spots at the same time… If this is your preference, then perhaps you choose two or more LED Pads.

Third Decision – What Color Combination of LED Lights?
Penetrating depth of the waves is different for the three colors– infrared (IR), visible red (R), and visible blue (B). Penetrating depth for infrared waves is about 20-100 mm. Fourth Decision — What size LED Pad?
First thing to know is that each light has the same power regardless of the size of the LED Pad… so the size of the LED Pad only means that you cover a different amount of “territory” at one time… the best advice is to literally cut a piece of paper to match the size of the pad and draw the corresponding LED diode surface area on each square of paper… now you can move these pieces of paper around your body and get a good feel for how much territory they cover.
