HOW TO CHOOSE LUMEN PHOTON THERAPY LED LIGHT DEVICE…
First Decision — What kind of controller?
All Lumen controllers are Dual Port Controllers. That means you choose whether to attach one LED pad or two LED pads simultaneously.
Second Decision – How many LED Pads?
Some folks know right off that their first application is “dual”…like “two bad knees”, both ankles… neuropathy in both feet… something front and back, etc… you can certainly take the time with a single LED pad and move the pad around a lot, but some folks prefer to just do two spots at the same time… If this is your preference, then perhaps you choose two or more LED Pads.
And yes you can buy “just the pads” later if you should decide in the future to fill in your pad options.
Third Decision – What Color Combination of LED Lights?
Penetrating depth of the waves is different for the three colors– infrared (IR), visible red (R), and visible blue (B). Penetrating depth for infrared waves is about 20-100 mm. Lumen LED Pads use a combination of two or more LED light wavelengths (colors) to affect biologic changes thereby penetrating at various depths and stimulating increased circulation through a broad range of tissue types.
This means you choose the light combination that best suits your application.
Fourth Decision — What size LED Pad?
First thing to know is that each light has the same power regardless of the size of the LED Pad… so the size of the LED Pad only means that you cover a different amount of “territory” at one time… the best advice is to literally cut a piece of paper to match the size of the pad and draw the corresponding LED diode surface area on each square of paper… now you can move these pieces of paper around your body and get a good feel for how much territory they cover.
After this decision, you can certainly “design” your own system components by combining your controller choice with your LED Pad/s choice/s. If this appeals to you, then simply order each component separately.
Keep in mind that the systems are already designed for your convenience using the most popular combinations. In many cases, it’s financially more advantageous to take advantage of the “already-defined system”. (Those systems are noted below the LED Pad information.)
