BioEnergy Patch for Tinnitus (and more)!

Tinnitus can be a variety of sounds heard in one or both ears when no corresponding external sound is present.

We’re talking about that bothersome buzzing, ringing, hissing, humming, clicking, roaring etc, which interferes with normal hearing, or is associated with other problems.

At the very least, it can be annoying and totally distracting!

In some people, tinnitus can be associated with anxiety and depression and can interfere with concentration.

Typically, tinnitus management involves psychoeducation or counseling. Sound generators or hearing aids may help. No medication directly targets tinnitus.

Audiologists might recommend white noise generators or in-ear white noise generators.

But there is no known cure for tinnitus.

Well, that sounds discouraging!  (No pun intended!)

But basically, and put bluntly, there’s nothing!

Well, nothing they tend to know/care about…

However, the good news is that there IS something…

A Bit About Tinnitus
Rather than categorized as a disease, tinnitus is considered a symptom resulting from a variety of possible underlying causes and/or may be generated at any level within or outside the auditory system. The most common causes of tinnitus include hearing damage, noise-induced hearing loss, age-related hearing loss, ear infections, ear bone changes, Eustachian tube dysfunction, heart or blood vessel disease, circulatory problems, Meniere’s disease, inner ear muscle spasms, brain tumors, head and neck tumors, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, medications, previous head or neck injury, earwax, and other chronic conditions such as diabetes, thyroid problems, migraines, anemia, and autoimmune disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus.

Tinnitus can suddenly emerge during a period of emotional stress and can be common in those with depression.

The Cleveland Clinic notes that tinnitus affects approximately 15% of the population – more than 50 million people in the United States. Although most people tolerate tinnitus, approximately 1–2% consider it a significant problem.

Tinnitus is most common in people between the ages of 40 and 80

Tinnitus can be associated with hearing loss and decreased comprehension of speech in noisy environments.

Tinnitus can trigger a fight-or-flight response, as the brain may perceive the noise as dangerous and important.

A tinnitus diagnosis is usually based on patient description of symptom/s which can be supported by an audiogram and examination.

Tinnitus may be soft or loud, low- or high-pitched, may seem to come from either one or both ears, or from the head itself.  It may be intermittent or continuous. In some, its intensity may be changed by shoulder, neck, head, tongue, jaw, or eye movements.

Medications known to cause tinnitus include nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and certain antibiotics, cancer drugs, water pills (diuretics), antimalarial drugs, antidepressants, and others.

Tinnitus affects people differently. For some people, tinnitus can significantly affect quality of life.  Some may also experience fatigue, stress, sleep issues, trouble concentrating, memory problems, depression, anxiety and irritability, headaches, problems with work and family life.
